Tower Hamlets Council needs to do more to publicise the South Quay Masterplan, a major consultation into developments on the Isle of Dogs, according to Andrew Wood, a local councillor. South Quay covers the area south of Canary Wharf, with 28 potential developments containing 11,500 new homes planned, including the huge residential tower Pan Peninsula, the 75-storey City Pride and the 73-storey South Quay Plaza.

Knight Dragon has awarded Kier with a £50m construction contract as it moves on its plans to build 10,000 homes on the Greenwich Peninsula.
The deal will see a 24-storey tower rise on the banks of the Thames along with four other buildings containing 224 luxury flats. The firm aims to create a completely new district for London over the next 25 years, building about 10,000 new homes for up to 23,000 residents.
