Quay House decision deferred

26th September 2014

Members of Tower Hamlets’ strategic development committee have deferred a planning decision on a proposal for a 68-storey, 496-apartment tower at South Quay on the Isle of Dogs.

Quay House has been criticised by both the Greater London Assembly and Greenwich Council for its “overbearing appearance” and “insensitive relationship” with the adjacent South Dock. Committee members have decided to visit the site before giving a final ruling.
