New data from Knight Frank has shown that the proportion of high-end London homes purchased by overseas buyers has fallen from 50% in the seven months to July last year to 40% in the same month this year.
The proportion of Russian buyers fell from 6.5% last year to 3.7% this year, while those from the UAE dropped from 5.3% to 1.4%, with French and Indian buyers also seeing their market share dip. However, the proportion of Italian buyers rose from 2.7% to 6.7% year-on-year.
