New buyer demand slows

11th July 2014

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors’ (RICS) latest Residential Market Survey shows that new buyer demand for property in June rose at its slowest pace since early 2013.

In London demand from buyers fell for the second consecutive month. Rics said that the slowdown was likely to be a consequence of the Mortgage Market Review introduced in April. Rics said the strongest price gains were in the south east of England and Northern Ireland, with price growth easing in London.
