Docklands Light Railway: living on the golden path

4th July 2014

The Evening Standard looks at the myriad of choices along the Docklands Light Railway and the Jubilee Line for those wishing to live within striking distance of Canary Wharf.

Island Gardens was part of the first wave of the Isle of Dogs waterfront redevelopment, with prices for a river-view apartment now starting from £485,000. Further inland is Parkside Quarter, a new development of 64 flats adjacent to Mudchute Park, where prices start from £425,000. Moving North, and just minutes away from South Quay DLR station, the Dollar Bay residential skyscraper is starting to take shape. On completion in 2017, the 31-storey tower will offer 121 apartments with full-height, glass-walled winter gardens designed to maximise the light. Prices here begin at £435,000. Apartments at Lincoln Plaza offer even better value, starting from £397,000. Finally, for renters, apartments at West India Quay, with exposed brickwork and beams, are available to rent from £515 a week.
