The Financial Times names Tower Hamlets as one of four “mid-tier” London areas where property prices are likely to see the most growth over the next five years.
At £600,000, a one-bed apartment in Wapping may appear expensive, but property in the area is still around £750 per sq ft, compared with about £1,200 per sq ft across the water in Shad Thames. Investors are also advised to consider the St. George’s development at the former News International site, or an Asda-anchored 11-acre mixed-use development on the Isle of Dogs, soon to have 850 residential units.
