A consortium consisting of Chelsfield Properties, First Base and Macquarie Capital is to submit plans for a £3.5bn regeneration scheme at Silvertown Quays.
The Silvertown Partnership wants to build more than 2,500 homes, 2m sq ft of commercial space and 3m sq ft of retail space on the old docks area near London City airport. The proposal also includes plans to create glass pavilions, of up to 80,000 sq ft, where groups such as retailers, car makers and telecoms companies could showcase new products and host parties and expos.
