The 38-acre Royal Wharf development is set to be the biggest new Docklands neighbourhood since Canary Wharf was built 20 years ago.
This “21st-century urban village” will eventually contain 3,385 new homes, including townhouses for families; based on old-fashioned design principles, it will have a high street, school, parks, squares and restaurants. A collaboration between Ballymore and Oxley, the first 811 homes – on what was once a Shell oil plant – will be ready in 2016. Apartments are priced from £235,000, and townhouses from £695,000.
