Prospective purchasers of property in the new £100m Royal Gateway scheme in Canning Town will be able to secure an apartment “on a credit card” for as little as £2,000.
Buyers will need to attend a three-day launch fair at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Royal Victoria Dock from Friday 14th February, be vetted by brokers representing developers Galliard, and find a 10% formal deposit within 20 days to be successful. Over 330 homes are being built in five blocks on a former industrial site; work begins later this month, and is scheduled for completion by early 2017. Galliard chief executive Stephen Conway described it as “a vibrant new Borough Market-style destination”, adding “it will be a fantastic place for people to live, work and enjoy leisure time, because the superb location at the gateway to London’s Royal Docks provides easy access to Canary Wharf, The City and West End”. Prices start at £250,000 for a one-bed flat.
