The £3.7bn regeneration programme sparked by the 2012 Olympic Games didn’t stop at Stratford – it extended further east, to Canning Town.
Vermillion, phase one of the ambitious Rathbone Market renewal scheme, towers above the Jubilee line station that whisks residents to Canary Wharf and beyond; featuring 271 new homes, along with shops and cafes, it will be followed by phase two, Aurelia, which was recently launched by Newham Council and the English Cities Fund. One-bedroom flats cost from £275,000.
