Permission granted

The latest Housing Pipeline report from the Home Builders Federation shows planning permissions granted for new homes have increased 31% year-on-year with 44,251 permissions granted in the third quarter of the year in England on 826 sites.

The figure represents the most permissions granted in quarter three since 2007. HBF executive chairman Stewart Baseley said: "We have already seen evidence of a rise in new homes starts and these figures show the industry's intent to increase and sustain that over the next few years."
