Parents paying premium for primary location

Research has unveiled the vast premiums paid by parents to buy homes close to some of the UK's top primary schools.

Savills found that property prices near the best primaries cost up to 170% more than comparable addresses elsewhere in the same area. The average premium faced by families seeking to live near a good state primary is nearly 40%.
