More new-build apartments planned for Stratford

After selling all 198 flats at its Stratford Plaza development, Telford Homes is fast-tracking the development of two more sites in the area.

The first, Broadway Chambers, has planning consent for 342 homes spread between two buildings, the tallest rising up to 36 storeys. Construction is due to begin in 2014. The second, on Angel Lane and adjacent to the Westfield shopping centre, is expected to provide 181 homes, though it has yet to be granted planning permission. It is also planning to add 180 homes on Limeharbour, Isle of Dogs, along with 158 dwellings to the north-west on Caledonian Road.
