Figures from the Land Registry show that house prices are climbing in London at a much faster rate than the rest of the country.
The average price of a house in London increased by 10% year-on-year in November compared with a nationwide increase of 3.2%. The Sun anticipates the return of gazumping in the capital and the Times notes that the biggest London increases were in those boroughs straddling the Olympic Park. Prices in the North East fell by 1.6%. The Mail believes the figures prove that there is no house price bubble beyond the M25.
