Accountancy firm EY will become the second resident at 25 Churchill Place, joining the European Medicines Agency in the 23-storey Canary Wharf building when complete early in 2014.
Total occupancy costs in the Canary Wharf area are currently in the region of £60-£70 sq ft – comparing favourably with equivalent costs in central London, where a shortage in supply continues to send rents rising. Costs vary from £70-£85 sq ft on the South Bank, to £80-£95 in the City and reaching £140-£165 sq ft in the West End, and they are forecast to rise yet more, by up to 65% in the coming twelve months.
