The economy is growing at the fastest pace since the financial crisis struck seven years ago, official figures will confirm today.
The latest positive sign on the economy came as Vince Cable, the Business Secretary, said Britain was now experiencing "a real recovery" and business leaders spoke of a "real upsurge". However, he also warned that there were significant risks to a sustained recovery, particularly rising house prices, and suggested that the Government's Help to Buy scheme may have to be overhauled as the economic circumstances have "quite radically changed" since the scheme was conceived.
