Berkeley wins planning permission for News International site

Berkeley Homes subsidiary St George has been granted planning permission for a proposal to build up to 1,800 homes on the former News International site in Wapping.

Over 480 affordable homes are planned, along with cafes, restaurants and a secondary school. The residential buildings will be between 5 and 25 storeys high. St George managing director Ross Faragher said it will be “a fantastic place for a new vibrant community to thrive”.
