All-day Tube service on the cards

A twenty-four hour Tube service could soon be running through Canary Wharf, as well as other parts of east London, should a new Transport for London scheme get the go-ahead.

A 90-day consultation period is to be launched for the proposal, which would see the Jubilee, Victoria, Piccadilly, Central and sections of the Northern Line run all day on Fridays and Saturdays. Mayor Boris Johnson described it as just the first stage in “an opening up of the Tube network to become 24 hours”.
